NBA Podcast: 2013-14 Southeast Division NBA Season Preview

Joel C. CordesOct 16, 2013

Unicorns, the Easter Bunny and parity. None of them can be found in the NBA's Southeast Division.

The Miami Heat's vice grip on their regional rivals has lasted the better part of a decade, even before the Big 3 assembled. While equality is unlikely again this year, can the other teams break the glass ceiling at all or level the playing field even a little? More importantly, can the Heat three-peat despite a noticeably tougher conference field?

Long captains of the Southeast's "middle ground", the Atlanta Hawks are sure to be joined by the Washington Wizards. Both teams should remain in playoff contention, but with the Eastern Conference postseason dance card quickly filling up, will there be enough spots for either when the music stops?
