Good Guy Barry Switzer Saves Dog, Generally Becomes Hero to All Canines
Barry Switzer is saving the world one adorable dog at a time.
Sam Gardner of Fox Sports reports on the posted video provided by KJRH in Tulsa, featuring the former coach and the Rottweiler puppy he found hanging out in a hot van.
According to the report, Switzer happened by the dog in the van and decided to take action. While the windows were down, Switzer thought better than to just leaving the pup in the car considering the heat, so he took it.

Now, coach didn't just grab the dog like a football and head for his car like it was the end zone. Apparently, he waited for the owner to come back to the van where he proceeded to buy the lucky dog.
Here is the happy dog he named Stella, via Switzer's Twitter account.

Gardner reminds fans that Switzer has a tremendous soft spot for dogs. Last year, Switzer joined the hunt for the person who dragged an Oklahoma dog to its death, offering to match the reward money that was being offered.
Gardner has more in regards to Stella and an already touching story. Thanks to a KFOR report, we now know the Rottweiler is safe and sound with a family who lost their home during the Moore tornado.
The coach managed to give the dog a better situation and cheer up an Oklahoman family that absolutely needs it at the moment.
Switzer explained further with his appearance on NFL AM, stating, "I don't think I saved the puppy's life. I think the puppy had a life, but it wasn't going to be as good as it's life is going to be now."
Some people golf in retirement, others make sure dogs are treated humanely. A tip of the hat to Switzer, who is some sort of a 75-year-old Ace Ventura at the moment.
