Here's a tweet straight from Devin Thomas' agent Drew Rosenhaus:

"Devin Thomas recently had laser eye surgery and it has helped him significantly. The Redskins have been very pleased with his recent work."

Also from the master player's agent:

"We've had success in dealing with the Redskins and I'm hopeful we can negotiate an extension for OLB Rocky McIntosh in the near future."

According to WebMD.com, there are three laser surgery techniques: PRK, LASEK, and LASIK. I will spare you the full medical terms since I can't pronounce them anyway.

Laser surgery corrects vision by reshaping the cornea to refocus light on the retina. The out-patient procedure is performed in an eye surgeon's office under local anesthesia.

PRK and LASEK are less invasive procedures than LASIK, which involves making a small flap and the removal of tissue exposed by the flap.

Patients report less pain with LASIK than with PRK. Recovery from all of these procedures range from a day to less than a week. Medical risks are considered low.

Rosenhaus' tweet gave no details on which procedure was performed on Thomas.

The biggest news here is that Drew Rosenhaus is on Twitter.
