Every NFL Player Arrested in 2013
There have been an alarming amount of arrests in the NFL since the start of 2013.
From Rolando McClain to Evan Rodriguez to Aaron Hernandez, these legal run-ins certainly are not a good look for America's most popular sports league.
Here's a complete list of each player arrested, the date it happened and the charges incurred within just the last six months.
Robert Sands
1 of 36Team: Cincinnati Bengals
Charge: Assault
Date: January 4
Sands appeared in one game for the Bengals in his rookie year of 2011. Cincinnati waived the safety on June 12, and he is still a free agent.
Rolando McClain
2 of 36Team: Oakland Raiders
Charge: Window-tint violation, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest
After he was released by the Oakland Raiders, who drafted him in 2010, McClain was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. Following his second arrest, he announced his retirement from the NFL.
Chris Rainey
3 of 36Team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Charge: Simple battery
Date: January 10
After his arrest, Chris Rainey was waived by the Steelers and is still a free agent.
Andre Smith
4 of 36Team: Cincinnati Bengals
Date: January 17
Smith started all 16 games at right tackle for the Bengals in 2012 and signed a three-year, $18 million contract with Cincinnati in April.
Jay Ratliff
5 of 36Team: Dallas Cowboys
Charge: DWI
Date: January 22
Jay Ratliff, the longtime Cowboys nose tackle, is entering his ninth professional season and has 27 career sacks.
Leroy Hill
6 of 36Team: Seattle Seahawks
Charge: Domestic violence
Date: January 29
Leroy Hill was ultimately not charged with any felonies but is a free agent.
Michael Boley
7 of 36Team: New York Giants
Charge: Child abuse
Date: February 8
Michael Boley, who started 46 of 48 games for the Giants the previous three seasons, was not re-signed by New York this offseason and is still a free agent.
Da'Quan Bowers
8 of 36Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Charge: Second-degree weapon possession (gun in airport luggage), later reduced to disorderly conduct.
Date: February 18
Da'Quan Bowers, the Buccaneers' second-round pick in the 2011 draft, has 4.5 sacks in 26 career games.
Al Netter
9 of 36Team: San Francisco 49ers
Charge: DUI
A Northwestern alum, 310-pound Al Netter spent the 2012 season on the 49ers practice squad after going undrafted. He remains on San Francisco's roster.
Desmond Bryant
10 of 36Team: Oakland Raiders
Charge: Criminal mischief
Date: February 24
Desmond Bryant played his first four NFL seasons with the Raiders before signing a five-year, $34 million deal with the Cleveland Browns on March 12. He has 11.5 career sacks.
J'Marcus Webb
11 of 36Team: Chicago Bears
Charge: Possession of marijuana
Date: February 24
His charges were later dropped. J'Marcus Webb has started every game for the Bears since the start of the 2011 season at left tackle. He was a seventh-round selection in 2010 out of West Texas A&M.
Javarris James
12 of 36Team: Arizona Cardinals
Date: March 7
The Cardinals signed James on May 14, 2012, but a preseason knee injury ended his year. He is the cousin of former NFL running back Edgerrin James and played his collegiate football at the University of Miami. James went undrafted in 2010 and scored six touchdowns for the Indianapolis Colts that same year.
Quinton Carter
13 of 36Team: Denver Broncos
Date: March 9
His case was later dismissed. Quinton Carter started 10 games for the Broncos as a rookie in 2011, but a knee injury in 2012 limited his playing time.
Cody Grimm
14 of 36Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Charge: Public intoxication
Date: March 10 and March 28
Cody Grimm was charged with public intoxication on March 10 before his March 28 arrest of the same charge. According to the Washington Post, the March 10 arrest "was given a 'deferred disposition,' which allows prosecutors to drop a charge if assuming the accused fulfills certain promises and stays out of trouble."
Grimm played collegiately at Virginia Tech and is the son of former Washington Redskins star and former Arizona Cardinals offensive line coach Russ Grimm.
Evan Rodriguez
15 of 36Team: Chicago Bears
Date: March 21 and May 31
The resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct charges came first in March. Then, Evan Rodriguez was booked for DUI in May.
He was a fourth-round pick in 2012 and played in 12 games for the Bears last year.
Chicago cut him on June 10, and he was later claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins.
Trumaine Johnson
16 of 36Team: St. Louis Rams
Charge: DUI
Date: March 22
Trumaine Johnson, who played his collegiate ball at the University of Montana, was a third-round pick in the 2012 draft and had two interceptions last year.
Brandon Barden
17 of 36Team: Tennessee Titans
Charge: DUI
Date: March 23
Brandon Barden went undrafted out of Vanderbilt University in 2012 and appeared in three games for the Titans last season.
Amari Spievey
18 of 36Team: Detroit Lions
Date: March 26
Amari Spievey has started 26 games for the Lions over the past three seasons and has five career interceptions.
Quentin Groves
19 of 36Team: Cleveland Browns
Charge: Solicitation
Date: April 17
Quentin Groves signed a two-year, $2.8 million deal with the Browns in March. He is entering his sixth NFL season and has played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals.
William Moore
20 of 36Team: Atlanta Falcons
Charge: Simple battery
Date: April 18
William Moore has started 38 games for the Falcons during the course of the previous three seasons and was a Pro Bowler in 2012.
Ronnell Lewis
21 of 36Team: Detroit Lions
Date: April 20
Ronnell Lewis was a fourth-round pick in 2012 and appeared in eight games for the Lions last season.
Cliff Harris
22 of 36Team: New York Jets
Charge: Marijuana possession, domestic harassment and failure to appear in court
Date: April 29
Cliff Harris was released by the Jets after his first arrest and remains a free agent.
Claude Davis
23 of 36Team: New York Jets
Charge: Possession of marijuana
Date: April 29
Claude Davis was cut by the Jets following his arrest.
Armonty Bryant
24 of 36Team: Cleveland Browns
Charge: DUI
Date: May 3
He was selected in the seventh-round of the 2013 draft out of East Central University in Oklahoma.
Daryl Washington
25 of 36Team: Arizona Cardinals
Charge: Aggravated assault
Date: May 3
Daryl Washington has started 41 of 48 possible games during his three-year NFL career for the Cardinals. He was a second-team All-Pro linebacker in 2012.
Titus Young
26 of 36Team: St. Louis Rams
Charge: Suspected drunk driving, then trying to steal his car from the impounded car yard. Later that week, he was arrested on suspicion of burglary, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
Date: May 5 (twice) and May 10
Titus Young has appeared in 26 games for the Detroit Lions since his NFL career began in 2011. After being released by the team that drafted him on February 4, the Rams claimed him off waivers the next day, but cut him on February 15.
Corey McIntyre

Charge: Misdemeanor battery
Date: May 8
Corey McIntyre has appeared in 104 games during his NFL career. He spent the last five seasons with the Buffalo Bills and is still a free agent.
Mike Goodson

Charge: Possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, unlawful handgun, hollow-point bullet
Date: May 17
Mike Goodson signed with the Jets on March 15. He had spent his first three professional seasons with the Carolina Panthers before playing with the Oakland Raiders in 2012.
Chad Johnson

Charge: Probation violation
Date: May 20 and June 10
Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson last played for the Miami Dolphins but was released prior to the 2012 season.
Joe Morgan
30 of 36Team: New Orleans Saints
Charge: DWI
Date: May 25
WR Joe Morgan played in 14 games in 2012 for the Saints.
Adam Jones
31 of 36Team: Cincinnati Bengals
Charge: Assault
Date: June 10
Adam "Pacman" Jones has spent the last three seasons in Cincinnati with the Bengals and has appeared in 29 games for the team.
Jason Peters
32 of 36Team: Philadelphia Eagles
Charge: Street racing
Date: June 12
Jason Peters is a four-time All-Pro left tackle and has been a member of the Eagles since 2009. He missed the entire 2012 season due to an Achilles tendon injury.
Ausar Walcott
33 of 36Team: Cleveland Browns
Charge: Attempted murder
Date: June 25
The Browns released Ausar Walcott after his arrest.
Aaron Hernandez
34 of 36Team: New England Patriots
Date: June 26
Aaron Hernandez amassed 175 receptions in his three-year career with the Patriots. The team cut him following his arrest, and he is currently a free agent.
Josh Brent
35 of 36Team: Dallas Cowboys
Charge: Failed drug test for marijuana
Date: June 27
Josh Brent was charged with intoxicated manslaughter after a car crash killed his teammate and friend, Jerry Brown Jr. Brent appeared in 12 games in 2012 and had 1.5 sacks.
Joe Lefeged
36 of 36Team: Indianapolis Colts
Charge: Carrying a firearm without a license, unregistered firearm, unregistered ammunition, presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle and possession of an opened container of alcohol
Date: June 29
Lefeged was a special teams captain for the Colts in 2012 and was originally signed by the team after going undrafted in 2011. He has two career interceptions.
