Nerlens Noel Wants Your Help Getting Dressed for the 2013 NBA Draft

Dan CarsonJun 6, 2018

The NBA draft is almost upon us, and the belle of the ball wants your help getting ready.

It isn’t easy deciding what to wear on the biggest day of your life, and Nerlens Noel is looking for a little help from NBA fans before he gets his "grown man" on at Thursday's draft.

The campaign to dress Noel was spotted by Scott Gleeson of USA Today, who says Noel's choices have been narrowed down to three suits. Two of the potential getups are by designer Jhoanna Alba, and the third is by Roger Mischel.

To be completely honest, I don’t know either of these designers, but I can only assume one of these lines was designed by Jessica Alba’s fashion-forward brother. With that being said, the outfits are pretty on-point.

The first selection is a gray Jhoanna Alba, which comes with a blue tie paying homage to Noel’s time at Kentucky and some blue-teal socks that look more suited to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The second suit is another Jhoanna Alba. This one is a navy jacket with boxed pinstripes and a multi-plaid shirt. Also, don’t sleep on those socks. Those socks are more real than the thirst.

Last, but not least, we have the Roger Mischel—another navy pinstripe suit that looks to be set up in someone’s unfinished basement.

It’s all in the details when it comes to putting together a good suit—that being said, Noel should go with one of Jhoanna Alba’s.

From the socks to the tie clip and the shoes, both suits seem to have all the details laid out. This would allow Noel to sit back, stop fretting about his wardrobe and take in the moment when he’s (likely) selected first overall in the draft.

Which one do you prefer? You can vote for your favorite at NBA.com, and Noel will be wearing the suit that wins in the green room on draft night (7:00 EDT Thursday, ESPN).

Just remember, Nerlens: Fashion isn’t what you wear; it’s how you wear it.
