Is Paul George a Superstar, or Does He Need to Stop LeBron First?

NBA365 ProductionsJun 5, 2018

After three seasons under the radar, Indiana Pacers' guard Paul George is finally in the spotlight.

When the Pacers lost Danny Granger for the entire 2012-2013 season due to injury, George took over the squad and has quickly emerged as one of the top players in the league. He's consistently elevated his game each season since entering the league and was rewarded for his superb play this year by being elected to the NBA All-Star Game

Glen "Big Baby" Davis says that no matter what happens this playoff series against the Miami Heat, he is a bonafide superstar.

George has a unique skill set. Standing at 6'9" with an 8'11" reach, he handles the ball like a guard and can muscle up down low. This postseason, the rim grazer has exceeded everyone's expectations. He's been averaging nearly 20 points a game while covering two of the most lethal scorers: New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and Miami Heat's LeBron James

While he locked down Anthony in the previous playoff series, his current defensive assignment may be seen as a tougher task. James is a four-time MVP who usually has possession of the ball in the most important parts of a game.

Does George need to shutdown James in order to be considered a superstar around the league and by fans?

Watch now to find out what Davis thinks about George.
