It's Kobe Bryant's World and We Are All Leasing Space, According to New Nike Ad

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

Kobe Bryant pretty much owns this world, and we should all step back and watch in awe, according to the latest commercial brilliance from Nike.

The sports apparel brand just knows how to put together a simple ad that will get us excited about the sights and sounds of our favorite sports.

They managed to do just that earlier this week in the viral commercial featuring newly-acquired Rory McIlroy and standby legend Tiger Woods teeing off right next to one another.

Here is the newest ad for the Black Mamba. And I have to agree with one of the commentators in the YouTube section: It would have only been better with Morgan Freeman doing the voice-over.

Of course, we have to distance ourselves from the reality of the situation. Even from where this Lakers loyalist sits, things have been pretty awful this season.

As a pure measure of how horrid this team has been, a two-game winning streak has been cause for great joy in the City of Angels.

Not that Bryant would be the first to blame.

As the commercial suggests, Bryant is a different breed, waking up to train when all you weaklings are still sleeping.

The man is averaging nearly 30 points per game and is shooting the best field-goal percentage of his career, 47.8.

With that kind of talent, I'll buy into the Nike hype.
