Charlotte Bobcats vs. Boston Celtics 1/14/13: Video Highlights and Recap

Tim KeeneyJan 14, 2013

It wasn't always easy, but the Boston Celtics beat the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday night by a score of 100-89 to extend their winning streak to six games.

While the Bobcats were able to cut Boston's lead to as little as four points in the fourth quarter, Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce and Co. made sure a comeback didn't happen, as the C's improved to 20-17 and 13-6 at TD Garden.

With the loss, Charlotte is now 9-28 and has lost a staggering 23 of its last 25 games after staring the season an encouraging 7-5.

Player of the Game: Rajon Rondo

Ho-hum, just another triple-double for Rajon Rondo.

Not only did the talented point guard finish with a plus/minus of plus-11 and make several key plays down the stretch, but he tallied 17 points (on 8-of-11 shooting), 12 assists and 10 rebounds.

The monster night helped offset an icy-cold 2-of-11 performance by Kevin Garnett

Up Next for Charlotte

The Bobcats don't get much of a break, as they will attempt to stop their losing ways at home against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.

Up Next for Boston

The Celtics get a day off before attempting to run their win streak to seven games when they take on the New Orleans Hornets at home on Wednesday.
