🚨 Knicks Up 3-0 vs. Cavs

J.R. Smith Shows off Athleticism with Monster Slam vs. Pacers

Maxwell OgdenJun 7, 2018

In what has become a staple of the NBA, J.R. Smith just blew our minds with a ferocious dunk.

During the first quarter of a game between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks, Smith took it with his left hand and attacked the basket. Ian Mahinmi attempted to make a stop at the rim and discovered one unfortunate truth.

Smith is unbelievably athletic.

Smith changed from his left hand to his right in midair and threw down a beauty. In other words, he went all J.R. Smith on him.

The Knicks enter this game on a run in which they're just 5-6 over their past 11 games. It's plays like this, however, that lead to severe changes in momentum.

As one could only expect, it was Smith who performed said act.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News offered his analysis of the play. Analysis that appeared to be very dry.

Dry, unexcited and all Isola-ish:

"

J.R. Smith just posterized Ian Mahinmi.

Posterized indeed.

More to come from this game as it progresses. Chances are, Smith will take care of the highlights.

Look for more jaw-dropping dunks and improbable threes on the horizon.
