Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Atlanta Hawks 12/19/12: Video Highlights and Recap

Tim KeeneyDec 19, 2012

It wasn't always pretty, but the Oklahoma City Thunder extended their win streak to 12 games with a 100-92 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.

Only two players scored in double digits for OKC.

Fortunately for the Thunder, those two players were Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who combined for 68 points and almost by themselves put the Hawks away in fourth quarter. Of OKC's 27 points in the final period, Durant and Westbrook scored 24.

Yikes.

Atlanta got 19 points from Jeff Teague and 17 and 12 rebounds from Josh Smith, but the Hawks couldn't grab the home victory as they fell to 15-8 on the year.

Player of the Game: Kevin Durant

Ho-hum.

Just another 41 points (on 23 shots), 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks for Durant. He did have six turnovers, but it was another magical performance for the stud forward.

He scored 18 points in the final quarter as his MVP resume gets better by the night.

Up Next for Oklahoma City

The 21-4 Thunder will try to extend their long winning streak when they head to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves on Thursday night.

Up Next for Atlanta

The Hawks will attempt to right the ship on Friday in Philadelphia against the reeling 76ers.
