Whatโs New?
USA Basketball
If you followed the 2012 Summer Olympics, you heard the buzz surrounding the comparisons between the 1992 USA Basketball dream team and the 2012 gold-medal edition flooded the sports world.
While there is no way to have these two teams play in reality, the good people at NBA 2K13 have developed a mode where you could play the teams against each other and find out who really would win.
This could further fuel the battle to decide which team was more dominant, but just looking at the rating should prove that the 2012 Dream Team couldnโt hold a candle to the 1992 roster.
The Controls
The developers of NBA 2K13 had a great game already, but they took it back to the drawing board and revamped everything.
While the game was great before, it has somehow gotten even better.
One of the most noticeable changes is the use of the joystick. With the addition of the ability to dribble using the right analog stickโon top of the ability to shoot, pass, and do moves in the postโthis is the closest thing to a true NBA simulation in video game history.
While talking about improved ball control, the passing has been revamped again, making transition offense even more fun to handle. Whether a stiff bounce pass or a lofting alley-oop pass, players now have the ultimate control.
MyPLAYER
One of the biggest drawbacks of the 2012 version of the game was the inability for fans to really be entertained by the MyCareer mode.
With huge changes and improvements throughout the mode, it went from an issue to one of the gameโs biggest strengths.
Not only has the presentation of the game become much more realistic and in-depth, it is the new signature skills that your player can obtain that will make fans keep playing.
Re-play ability for this NBA game will be through the roof because of this mode.
