Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh and More NBA Stars Dominate NYC Fashion Week

Gabe ZaldivarJun 5, 2018

Even the NBA wasn't safe from the waves of fashion washing over the entirety of New York City for one magical week.

NYC Fashion Week could have easily been coined "The Week NBA Stars Dazzled," because a good amount of them did.

Thanks to The Basketball Jones, we have some great moments from Fashion Week that feature some of the biggest names in the NBA.

First off, we have to applaud Chris Bosh for a pair of slippers that any man tucked away in the privacy of his own home would be proud to wear.

The Heat big man is seen here with what the report states are Del Toro Custom Slippers, comfy shoes I have neither the budget nor the confidence to ever pull off.

The winner of the week, in our estimation, had to be Russell Westbrook. It's not because he looked better than anyone else but because he didn't care what he looked like.

You see? Take a gander at him not caring what anyone thinks. There has never been a human alive to wear such clothing and not care what people think as much Westbrook is not caring.

We head over to Rajon Rondo's Facebook page to discover what interning for GQ during Fashion Week looks like.

It looks like work mixed with shopping, two things you can count me out of every single weekend.

More power to Rondo. I hope his internship went well. Fingers crossed that he finds that elusive fashion job he is apparently clamoring after.

While on the subject of silly meeting ridiculous for a fashion play-date, let's take a gander at what Tyson Chandler considers going-out attire.

Someone had to stop Chandler on the way out of the house that morning with, "Ha-ha, that's great man so...wait, you're serious?"

I have to second what Trey Kerby wrote about this outfit, stating that Chandler looks like, "a gigantic Amish hipster."

Somewhere, Wonder Woman is looking for her boots.

All of this is to say NBA stars are an awesome breed who know the true meaning of swag, enjoying imagination and one's unique style.

Still, you will look far less ridiculous if you are a tad late to the fashion-forward party.
