NFL Lines: Top Spreads and over-Unders to Bet Big During Week 1
The 2012 NFL season truly begins on Sunday, when 13 games are on and all of the real gambling action starts taking place.
While it may be fun to bet the Giants and Cowboys on Wednesday night for the novelty of the first game of the season, there isn’t any value to be found on that line.
Let’s take a look at some of the best bets of the Week 1.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New England Patriots -6 at Tennessee Titans
This is the best line of the week.
The Super Bowl runner-ups are giving less than a touchdown to an inexperienced team that is deploying a first-time starter at QB—one who didn’t even win the gig until midway through preseason.
Tom Brady and the New England offense have a familiar and excellent offensive coordinator in Josh McDaniels and a number of new weapons to throw and run the ball with for plenty of TDs.
Jake Locker simply won’t be able to handle the schemes that Bill Belichick has had months to prepare in anticipating for this upcoming game, and he’ll make far too many mistakes to lead the Titans anywhere near the Patriots on the scoreboard.
Houston Texans vs. Miami Dolphins Under 43
The Phins aren’t going to put up points in this contest.
With Ryan Tannehill under center, this team is hopeless in the early part of the season until he figures out how to play QB at the NFL level.
He’s the most inexperienced starter there is and will struggle against one of the best defenses in the NFL in his first week.
While Houston does have Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson and Arian Foster healthy and ready to go, it won’t put up more than 35 points and the Dolphins aren’t going to score more than two field goals.
Arizona Cardinals +3 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Newly-named starter John Skelton is 6-2 as a starter for Arizona and has a solid matchup at home against the Seahawks.
Skelton is extremely underrated—as you can tell by this line—and should have no problem out-dueling Russell Wilson, a rookie out of Wisconsin who earned the Seahawks' QB job a few weeks ago.
Even if the Cardinals don’t win the game, they aren’t losing by more than three.
