Rumors Abound of Dallas Mavericks' Star Dirk Nowitzki Married in Kenya
Dirk Nowitzki is a married man. We think.
There is a great mystery hitting the Dallas Mavericks recently, and it has nothing to do with how the hard-hit team will fare next season.
Instead, it has everything to do with their big man Nowitzki and whether he is married.
Last week, AllAfrica.com reported Nowitzki was married in a Kenyan ceremony to his girlfriend, Jessica Olsson:
"According to sources, Nowitzki and Jessica, born of a Swedish father and Kenyan mother, decided that they wanted to have two separate wedding ceremonies, one for her mother's family and a second in Germany, where the basketball ace's kin could attend.
"
The story that remained relatively silent on the Internet was also picked up by Media Take Out and Capital Sports.
Big Lead Sports would also catch wind of the marital possibility and posted a story there. They temper the hoopla by linking to a report from the Dallas Mavericks, who actually refute all the claims.
The Dallas Morning News reports Nowitzki is still a single man and didn't actually marry in Kenya recently.
"Representatives of the Mavericks told Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News the report is inaccurate.
The site cites a number of sources, though not by name.
"
I will have to err on the side of caution and say Nowitzki is most likely still on the open market when it comes to swapping vows.
It's still a highly interesting story, considering so many sites claimed the star married, making this either the most random fabrication in recent memory or a well-hidden marriage.
