Kobe Bryant Says Citizenship Should Be Revoked If Team USA Fails to Win Gold
Kobe Bryant has never been one to shy away from making a controversial, ridiculous statement. The Black Mamba is simply a candid guy. His latest quip may be the funniest thing he has ever said to the media.
According to Ian Whittell of WWA-Sport.com, Bryant informed the press that he believes all of Team USA’s citizenship will be revoked if they fail to bring home a gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
"predictably, Kobe Bryant remains the go-to guy for the media. says the US players citizenship will be revoked if they dont win gold ...

It seems that Kobe will continue to bemuse himself by floating out outrageous quotes all summer long.
That theory isn’t much of a stretch when you consider that this is the same man who infamously stated the current iteration of the American national team would beat the legendary 1992 Dream Team.
While it’s hard to picture Team USA losing this summer, and potentially losing the right to re-enter their country, the roster has been decimated by injuries and weaknesses that were exposed in an exhibition game against Brazil.
That contest, which took place under the watchful eye of President Barack Obama at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. on Monday, proved that the Americans have trouble guarding big men with their undersized frontline.
However, the intense nature of the game and close final score did not stop the Los Angeles Lakers SG from ribbing the POTUS for getting shot down on the kiss cam by the First Lady.
"PDA is not for everybody, you know what I mean," Bryant said.
Fortunately for Bryant and the rest of his teammates, Mr. President does not actually have the power to revoke their citizenship.
Team USA has a tough exhibition contest looming against Spain, a squad that includes All-Star-caliber bigs like Serge Ibaka and the Gasol brothers – Pau and Marc.
If they allow the Spaniards to find their flaws, it could easily spell disappointment for the Americans when the two sides inevitably meet during the Olympic tournament.
Fortunately for Kobe Bryant and the rest of the NBA stars on the roster, should an upset happen, they will at least be allowed to return to their homeland.
