French Open 2012: Dates, Times, Live Stream Info and More
The 2012 French Open will begin on Saturday as the tennis world shifts its eyes to Paris, where the best players in the sport will take on challenging opponents and the famous clay court of Roland Garros.
Rafael Nadal of Spain has won six of the last seven men's singles titles at Roland Garros, and a win this year would give him the most men's singles titles ever in the post-1925 era.
Serbia's Novak Djokovic is dominating men's tennis right now, having won the last three Grand Slam singles titles. However, he has never won the French Open, so he will be motivated to win the only Grand Slam title that has eluded him thus far in his career.
On the women's side, Li Na of China is the defending singles champion, and she will have to battle a tough field that will include Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, and 2012 Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka.
The French Open is the hardest Grand Slam tournament to win because of the great stamina and strength needed to dominate on the clay court surface, which means there will be many intense and exciting matches that will go the distance over the course of the tournament.
Let's look at all you need to know about the second Grand Slam tournament of the season.

Prediction: Rafael Nadal
The Spanish star will break his tie with Bjorn Borg and become the first man to win seven singles titles at Roland Garros in the modern era.
Nadal's dominance in Paris is legendary, and it's the perfect place for him to secure a huge Grand Slam win and get his season into high gear heading into Wimbledon and the US Open later this summer.
It's also a tournament that he can beat Djokovic in and restore some confidence in himself, because the Serbian star has gotten the better of Nadal in Grand Slams over the last year.
I think Nadal will shine on the famous clay courts of Roland Garros once again and make history over the next few weeks.
