Brock Lesnar: Keeping Lesnar Off Monday Night Raw a Smart Move By WWE

Eric BallJun 7, 2018

The WWE universe is still buzzing about the beginning of Monday Night Raw last week, and the creative team needs to let this puppy simmer.

Brock Lesnar was getting buttered up by John Laurinaitis making all sorts of wild demands when suddenly, COO Triple H appears with the intentions of putting Lesnar in his place—verbally.

Instead, the goon that is Lesnar made it physical, and Triple H ended up “breaking” his arm. While the arm looked just fine when he was with Floyd Mayweather and his team after beating Miguel Cotto this weekend, in the WWE world they have confirmed he has a broken arm.

With the scuffle and subsequent speculation by the Raw announcers regarding Lesnar’s future, it’s the perfect time to fade the former UFC champion for a while.

Wrestlenewz.com is reporting that both Lesnar and Triple H will not be appearing on tonight’s episode, and it makes plenty of sense. Triple H is probably still partying it up in Vegas with Money May, 50 Cent and Lil’ Wayne…plus, he is “rehabbing” from his broken arm anyway.

Lesnar’s new contract doesn’t require him to be a fixture with the rest of the company like a CM Punk, so saving him for later makes all the sense in the world. I’d guess the WWE will slap Lesnar with a suspension for his actions for the next month or so, only to return in time for a month-long feud with a healed Triple H that will culminate at SummerSlam.

After eight year away from the sport, Lesnar is still working his way back into “wrestling” shape. There is no doubt that being on the road constantly traveling from city to city can really wear you down after a while. I have no idea how a guy like Punk can take a beating one to two times a week while providing fans with a high level of entertainment at the same time.

After bloodying John Cena on multiple different occasions at Extreme Rules, I was wondering if he was still getting the UFC-like mentality out of him. Letting him train behind the scenes and allowing this new juicy feud to simmer for a bit is the right move, and expect the plan to be executed tonight on Raw.

Lesnar may be back in the WWE universe…but not on a full-time basis.
