Mayweather vs Cotto Odds: Last-Minute Betting Lines for Epic Fight

The upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto is going to be epic, and I've got the scoop on the last-minute betting lines for this brawl.

It's no surprise that Mayweather is the heavy favorite to win the match, but I didn't realize how little credit the oddsmakers are giving to Cotto. 

Here are some of the latest odds I'm focusing on for this fight, per Bovada.

Mayweather (-700) to Win over Cotto (+450)

I thought Cotto would have earned a bit more respect given his impressive record of 37-2, but apparently I'm not the only one who thinks this match will be owned by Money May.

Even though I don't think Cotto has a shot to win, if I were a betting man, I'd be inclined to put some money down on him to pull off the upset. Mayweather's defense is tough to overcome, but Cotto's ability to strike with power could be the undoing of Money May's perfect record.

Match Ending Under 3.5 Rounds (+800)

The likelihood of this match lasting longer than three rounds is extremely high. That being said, I would definitely put down a 10-spot on this one.

There's always a chance Cotto gets off a few lucky bombs in the first couple rounds and goes for the kill early. If I hit on him winning and the match ending in under 3.5 rounds, I'd be rolling in the dough.

Mayweather s Knocked Down or Out (+375)

It's no shock that the oddsmakers don't expect Mayweather to be knocked down or out in this fight. That being said, Cotto is a strong fighter who has knocked many a fighter to the deck. 

I do believe Mayweather will ultimately win the fight and predict it'll be in the sixth round by knockout, but Cotto has a good chance to get him to the mat at least once.

Cotto will be out to prove he's better than Mayweather, and since nobody's ever knocked out the champ, you can bet he's aiming to do just that. 

Cotto Wins by Decision (+1,200)

This is one of the biggest long shots of the match.

Nobody expects Cotto to win by decision. He would have to overwhelmingly beat Mayweather round-to-round to do it, and judges have a tendency to favor the favored boxer.

Stranger things have happened, though, and if you've got a hunch Cotto is going to pull this one off, then I say you'd better hurry down to the betting office and put your money down.
