Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto: Why Money May Will Maintain Unbeaten Record

Nicholas GossJun 7, 2018

Floyd Mayweather will dominate Miguel Cotto Saturday night with an early onslaught of powerful punches to knock out his opponent and maintain his unbeaten record.

Since Mayweather has an advantage in just about every area over Cotto, the Puerto Rican fighter will have to be near perfect in this bout.

Mayweather has knocked out 26 of his opponents, and it's likely that he will reach 27 after this weekend. Money May's speed and overall strength will be too much for Cotto to handle.

Cotto will put up a great fight for about five, maybe six rounds, but the longer the fight goes on, the more likely it is that Mayweather will end the fight with a knockout.

I can't see Cotto being able to break through Mayweather's strong defense, and when he does try to, Money May will use his speed and quickness to pummel the Puerto Rican with some fast and heavy body strikes that will tire him.

One thing that makes Mayweather incredibly difficult to beat is that he makes adjustments very well in the middle of rounds and after the bell.

Mayweather still wants a shot at Pacquiao, and boxing fans everywhere want it to happen. If he loses to Cotto, then Money May might never get a shot at Pac-Man.

This will give Mayweather all the motivation he needs to dominate Cotto and prove that even at age 35, he is still the best fighter on the planet and won't be stopped.
