Mayweather vs. Cotto Odds: Updated Betting Lines for Showdown
The highly anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto is right around the corner, and (surprise, surprise) the oddsmakers are still leaning heavily in Money May's favor.
Sportsbook.com has Mayweather, the undefeated Middleweight champion, at -625 and Junito, who enters Saturday's fight with a career mark of 37-2, at +475.
Sportbet.com likes Pretty Boy Floyd even more, at -800 compared to +550 for Cotto. They also have money line on the bout going over nine-and-a-half rounds at -260 and under at +220.
A quick glance across the board at oddschecker.com tells a similar story. According to their calculations, the odds on Mayweather run anywhere from a high of 1/6 (BetFred) to a low of 2/25 (WBX). Cotto, on the other hand, ranges between 4/1 (BetVictor, BlueSquare, 888sport, Ladbrokes) to 36/5 (WBX).
Meanwhile, the plurality of betting services list the odds of a draw at 33/1.
For those of you looking to get in on the ground floor of a Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao "Fight of the Century," sportsbook.com gives the edge (however slight) to Mayweather, with a money line of -175 compared to Pac-Man's +145.
Of course, after the way Money May spouted off on Tuesday, and with his 90-day jail sentence starting in June, that matchup may have to wait a while longer, assuming it ever comes to fruition.
