Knicks Playoff Schedule 2012: Breaking Down Guaranteed Classic vs. Heat
The New York Knicks get right down to it with the Miami Heat, alerting us all whether they are truly NBA title contenders.
Well, I guess for your cruel teachers out there, the best way to learn to swim is to be thrown into the deep end.
The New York Knicks draw a difficult opponent that has dominated the regular season series, but there is plenty of room for hope.
The Knicks have a great shot at extending this series to a marathon session, and putting the contending Heat back on their heels.
Here is how.

Carmelo Anthony Rules
The Knicks continue trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, and it works to the detriment of their offense.
Things have been far different under Mike Woodson, including Carmelo Anthony. He needs to be the impetus of the offense, getting the bulk of the offense and dominating the ball.
Amare Stoudemire may under used considering his talent, but the duo just doesn't work as 1A and 1B.
There has to be a clear pecking order on the floor.
Defense
I like the Knicks here, even before the ball is tipped this Saturday.
One thing that Mike Woodson has brought back is a heavy import on defense, and it shows. The Heat can handle the wing every well, which matches up well with the Heat.
The other big thing is the paint play. The Knicks will have a chance to dominate the interior, especially when Tyson Chandler is on the floor.
Consistency
There is no room for error if an epic upset is the outcome. The Knicks need to heat up from beyond the arc, and stay that week for well over a week.
