Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
2012 NFL Mock Draft: Round Two
Pick 33. St. Louis Rams: Rueben Randle, WR, LSU
Pick 34. Indianapolis Colts: Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford
Coby Fleener is the best tight end in this year's draft. He was a favorite target in the red zone for Andrew Luck at Stanford, putting up 667 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He is also an effective technical route runner who is able to anticipate throws and isn't afraid to take a hit to make a big play.
Reuniting Luck and Fleener in Indianapolis would be a smart move for the Colts. They already have great chemistry and are familiar with each other. At 6'6" and 247 pounds, Fleener is an outstanding talent on his own, but pairing him with his old college teammate would be great for both players.
Pick 35. Baltimore Ravens: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech
Pick 36. Denver Broncos: Janoris Jenkins, CB, Arizona
Pick 37. Cleveland Browns: Cordy Glenn, OT, Georgia
Pick 38. Jacksonville Jaguars: Courtney Upshaw, DE, Alabama
It is a surprise that Courtney Upshaw is still available on the draft board. The Alabama linebacker is a first-round talent who was ranked in the top-25 prospects overall. Upshaw led Alabama with 18 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in 2011. He is a great pass-rusher and uses plenty of force to rough up the offense.
Upshaw can definitely start as a rookie and will immediately boost Jacksonville's defensive line. He's a great steal for the Jaguars.
Pick 39. St. Louis Rams: Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska
Pick 40. Carolina Panthers: Devon Still, DT, Penn State
Pick 41. Buffalo Bills: Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
Pick 42. Miami Dolphins: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
Pick 43. Seattle Seahawks: Amini Silatolu, OG, Midwestern State
Pick 44. Kansas City Chiefs: Lamar Miller, RB, Miami
Lamar Miller is one of the top running backs in the draft. His lightning speed and small build allow him to squeeze through closing gaps and leave opponents in the dust. He's also a serious threat in the open field. Miller is a raw talent who needs to be polished, but the Chiefs can do just that.
Kansas City recently signed RB Peyton Hillis to their team, but Miller would be a nice second option. With some work, Miller has the agility, speed and competitiveness to become a consistent starting running back.
Pick 45. St. Louis Rams: Kelechi Osemele, OL, Iowa State
Pick 46. Philadelphia Eagles: Brandon Boykin, CB, Georgia
Pick 47. New York Jets: Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina
Pick 48. New England Patriots: Jamell Fleming, CB, Oklahoma
Pick 49. San Diego Chargers: Kendall Reyes, DL, Connecticut
Pick 50. Chicago Bears: Bobbie Massie, OT, Mississippi
Pick 51. Philadelphia Eagles: Mychal Kendricks, LB, California
Pick 52. Tennessee Titans: Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
Pick 53. Cincinnati Bengals: Marvin Jones, WR, California
Pick 54. Detroit Lions: Jayron Hosley, CB, Virginia Tech
Pick 55. Atlanta Falcons: Bobby Wagner, LB, Utah State
Pick 56. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alameda Ta'amu, DT, Washington
Pick 57. Denver Broncos: Josh Chapman, DT, Alabama
Pick 58. Houston Texans: Chris Givens, WR, Wake Forest
Pick 59. Green Bay Packers: Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State
Pick 60. Baltimore Ravens: Derek Wolfe, DT, Cincinnati
Pick 61. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Brooks, OG, Miami (Ohio)
Pick 62. New England Patriots: Trumaine Johnson, CB, Montana
Pick 63. New York Giants: Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois
