2012 NBA Mock Draft: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Stars That Will Shape the First

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist may or may not be coming out to the draft. According to reports by ESPN's Chad Ford, 

"

"He hopes he'll be able to announce right after they win the NCAA championship," one source said. "But even if they don't win it all, he's coming. He knows he's going to be a top-five pick. He can't pass that up."

The same article also stated that Kidd-Gilchrist countered the report, tweeting,

"

"I don't know where this is coming from. This is MY decision. Right now all I'm focused on my Teammates and winning Games," Kidd-Gilchrist wrote. "After the season Ill make a decision that's best for me and my family!"

If he comes out, Kidd-Gilchrest would easily be a top five pick and is targeted to go second or third on some boards. 

Here are some other picks that would have an impact on the first round of the draft if they decide to come out:

Anthony Davis has not yet declared, but if he did then he would easily be one of the top picks of the draft. 

Harrison Barnes is a pure scorer who averaged 17.3 points and would likely go as a top-five pick.

Thomas Robinson, a power forward, is a potential top-five pick out of Kansas. 

Jeremy Lamb is an easy lottery pick who at 6' 5", has a 7" wingspan with impressive offensive talent.

Damian Liliard out of Weber State is projected to be the top point guard taken in this draft.

Bradley Beal is a freshman shooting guard out of Florida who could easily be a top-10 pick.

Jared Sullinger is a sophomore power forward out of Ohio State who averaged 17.6 points and 9.2 boards per game and will be a top-10 pick. 

Meyers Leonard is a center with averages of 13.6 points and 8.2 boards who is projected to go as a late lottery pick. 

Terrance Jones is a late lottery pick and quite possibly the third Kentucky Wildcat who could be taken in this draft.
