The Golden State Warriors get veteran Richard Jefferson after trading newly-acquired Stephen Jackson to the San Antonio Spurs.

KNBR reports the trade via Twitter:

Tweets of the Trade:

Here is what the world thought of the trade according to Twitter.

Warriors beat writer Marcus Thompson starts us off. Perhaps Captain Jack should feel a tad used:

"

Once again, Warriors parlay Stephen Jackson into first-round pick. bit.ly/znDiVs

— Marcus Thompson (@gswscribe) March 15, 2012"

The Spurs fans love this trade:

"

Aye all, Richard Jefferson is no longer a Spur. I repeat, Richard Jefferson is no longer a Spur. Welcome back Captain Jack. Beneficial!

— Ced™ (@CedDwayne901) March 15, 2012"

This fan paints a sad picture for Warriors fans:

"

Lol at the Warriors giving up Monta Ellis basically for Richard Jefferson. Warriors fans have a right to be livid!

— Ryan Rucker (@ryanrucker) March 15, 2012"

Grade for San Antonio Spurs: B+

Stephen Jackson comes with the obvious baggage of a player that is never comfortable with his contract or the team he is on.

There is nothing to complain about with the Spurs, who are contenders this season and will be even more dangerous with Captain Jack.

Richard Jefferson had a diminishing role with the Spurs and lost more than one step. He will hardly be missed in the rotation. This was a solid gamble for the Spurs.

Grade for Golden State Warriors: C

The Warriors did get a conditional pick, but the current status of the team is grim. They have essentially traded the engaging and spirited style of Monta Ellis and have landed at Richard Jefferson.

This is a flip that will be hard to sell to fans that have been craving a team they can identify with for years.

The free-flowing Warriors are a lot less dynamic than they were a week ago.
