Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Signing Opt-out Waiver Is Only Option for D12
It looks like Dwight Howard will have no choice but to follow through with what he's already said he's going to do: sign the opt-out waiver and stay with the Orlando Magic at least through the 2012-2013 season.
Per Jarrod N. Rudolph of RealGM.com:
"I'm hearing Dwight will sign around 12:30 today. Get ready to go crazy at tomorrow's game. It's should be a mad house.
— Jarrod N Rudolph (@MisterRudolph) March 15, 2012"
Maybe this saga can finally take a rest for a while.
Not likely, but Howard is reportedly sorry it went this far in the first place.
""I have gotten some bad advice," Howard said. "I apologize for this circus I have caused to the fans of our city. They didn't deserve none of this. I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. I will do whatever I can to make this right and do what I was put in Orlando to do.
"This has been a very hard time. For me, my family and all of us. The fans deserve a better hero, and I will make that happen. I love and appreciate my fans and this city."
"
Assuming he's sincere—and I do—Howard now needs to do the right thing and actually sign the darn paperwork.
Per ESPN's Marc Stein:
"But nothing official until Dwight AND agent SIGN to waive opt-out and stay in ORL in 2012-13. Wanna guess what happens next? Floor is yours

Howard has run out of choices. He wanted to have his cake, eat it too and then have a maid clean up the mess.
Mr. Howard, you have run out of choices.
It's time to stop the madness, stop the rumor mill in its tracks and sign the waiver.
Breaking per the Orlando Sentinel:
"RT @JoshuaBRobbins: D12's manager, Kevin Samples, tells @OrlandoSentinel that Dwight has indeed waived his ETO.

We'll see.
