Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Howard Has Spoken About His Decision
For months now, teams all over the NBA have been trying to woo Dwight Howard to come to their city.
Howard has insisted that he wants to stay in Orlando publicly, that is until the trade deadline got closer. ESPN The Magazine's Rick Bucher reported that a source close to Howard said:
"Brooklyn is 1 and Dallas is 1-A, the source said, but he hasn't made any decision. He hasn't even decided that he's leaving Orlando. If they can put one or two All-Star players around him, he'd consider staying. All he wants at this point is to play out the season with the Magic and be able to weigh his options.
"
Marc Stein and Chris Broussard of ESPN have reported that the Orlando Magic are doing everything they can to appease Howard and make him want to say in Orlando. If they can’t, then they’ll look at other options to move him before the deadline at 3pm ET on Thursday.
Mike Mazzeo of ESPN reported:
"The Nets are in great position to land Howard because they’re moving to Brooklyn and the $1 billion Barclays Center. And getting Howard would almost certainly convince Deron Williams to re-sign.
"
It looks like the fate of Dwight Howard will really come down to the wire, but there’s finally a bit of clarity on the situation.
