Dwight Howard Video: Watch D12 Imitate Barkley and Take a Dig at Shaq

Alex KayMar 9, 2012

Dwight Howard is known for his impressions of other players and analysts. He has done Stan Van Gundy, Michael Jackson and numerous others.

Now he’s taking some shots at Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, two incredibly famous NBA legends who now work as analysts for TNT.

In the video, it seems that the media asked him to do impressions because Howard asked, “Who do you want me to be?” and a reporter responded with “Barkley.”

Then he was asked what the keys were for stopping the Chicago Bulls, and it just gets hilarious.

In a pitch-perfect Barkley Alabama accent, the Orlando Magic superstar starts sounding off on how they have to get back on defense to contain Derrick Rose, who is the fastest player with the ball he has ever seen.

He continues to give love for Rose and finishes by calling him “not turrible,” which is high praise if it came from Sir Charles.

Another reporter asked him to a Shaq impersonation.

The reigning three-time Defensive Player of the Year said he doesn’t have captions and couldn’t talk.

He’s referring to the fact that Shaq is widely considered to be what Chuck would call a “turrible” speaker.

A media member suggested that having some laughs must be more fun than constantly addressing the trade rumors surrounding the big man. Howard responded—in a Shaq voice, of course—with barely audible mumbling.

Then it turned serious and Howard talked about how this chat with the media is much better than having to constantly address the rumors and trades.

It’s clear that Howard is still the fun-loving guy he always has been, and that it won’t change anytime soon. It’s good to see he’s making the best of a tough situation down in Orlando.
