Breaking Down Odds Peyton Manning Signs with Redskins, Jets, Dolphins and More
Peyton Manning is the most wanted man in America.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that the long-time Indianapolis Colts signal caller will be released on Wednesday. The second Manning hits the open market, his phone will blow up. Here are the odds of signing the future Hall of Famer for each of the multitude of teams in hot pursuit of him.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Brandon Marshall can’t stop smiling.
The Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero reported that according to sources, Miami is ‘very confident’ in their ability to reel in Manning.
Playing football in South Beach would be amazing. But Peyton knows what it takes to beat the New England Patriots when it matters most, and a warm-weather adapted football team isn’t it. The only thing Manning cares about is winning another Super Bowl.

New York Jets
You mean Mark Sanchez wouldn’t be trending on Twitter every other Sunday?
Rex Ryan loves to make bold moves. From bringing Santonio Holmes, Antonio Cromartie, LaDainian Tomlinson, Plaxico Burress and Jason Taylor, New York never sleeps in the offseason. The addition of Manning would instantly make them a Super Bowl favorite.
Newsday’s Bob Glauber reported that the Jets will indeed push for Peyton. But the New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta isn’t hearing that push will end in success, as he tweeted:
"Jets' source on their pursuit of Peyton Manning: “Based on what we feel that we can offer, I have a feeling that we’re a long shot” #nfl

Seattle Seahawks
Tarvaris Jackson must hate old quarterbacks.
Pete Carroll’s crew can’t possibly go into 2012 expecting to make the playoffs with Jackson or Charlie Whitehurst under center. Cue in Peyton. Sports Illustrated’s Peter King tweeted this after the report of Manning’s release:
"Seattle shouldn't be favored in Manning derby at all. But I believe 'Hawks are all-in on Manning-Wayne package deal--and will pay for it.
— Peter King (@SI_PeterKing) March 7, 2012"
ESPN’s Rich Cimini backed that statement up, tweeting:
"Hearing from a league source the Seahawks will come out, checkbook blazing, for Manning. #Jets
— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) March 7, 2012"
I don’t want to say the Seahawks would be as dangerous as the Jets if they were to sign Manning, but if they reel in Reggie Wayne, too, let’s just say the San Francisco 49ers wouldn’t be guaranteed NFC West champs.
Odds: 35 percent
Arizona Cardinals
Four teams from two divisions fighting for the same player makes the Manning sweepstakes that much more intense.
According to Yahoo! Sports’ Ben Maller, Larry Fitzgerald's numbers would potentially sky-rocket, as he tweeted:
"Arizona Cardinals are new favorites to land Peyton Manning according to my guy @RJinVegas with MIA, WAS and retirement next.
— Ben Maller (@benmaller) March 6, 2012"
Who wouldn't want to just throw it up to Fitzgerald? Zona isn't as talented of a football team as some of the others in pursuit of Manning, but they boast the best wideout of the bunch.
Odds: 15 percent
Washington Redskins
Forget Robert Griffin III, right?
Mike Shanahan loves John Beck to death, but even he won’t pass on a chance to have Peyton run his offense. The Denver Post’s Mike Klis reported that the Redskins are an unmistakable frontrunner for Manning’s services.
Becoming the most popular man in the nation’s capital is a huge attraction. And the Skins are actually a talented ball club minus the QB position. With Manning throwing the football, Washington would have to be considered NFC East favorites.
Odds: 35 percent
