The NBA's 5 Most Valuable Players Per Contract Dollar

We all the know the about the max players who are either delivering on a nightly basis or the ones who are not.

(Cough, Joe Johnson.)

How about the other side of the spectrum?

Which players have delivered the most bang for their team's buck this year? I have done extensive research analyzing a few factors:

First, I took all the players' salaries in the NBA and divided them by their win shares this season. I also took each player's PER rating into account as well. With this formula as my primary guide, I began my rankings.

This really paints a great picture of which players are accomplishing the most, while hitting their team's pockets the lightest.

Obviously, Jeremy Lin has been the biggest star of the players with modest salaries, but his limited playing time at the beginning of the season has him falling just short of the top five.

So, Knicks fans, please don't cry foul when you don't see him on the list. But don't fret—your team is still well-represented.
