NBA All-Star Game 2012: Bold Predictions for Fun Showdown
The West is going to edge out the East in a close and low scoring 2012 NBA All-Star Game. Did I say low scoring? That's absurd.
If there is one thing you can count on in the NBA All-Star game is that it's going to be high scoring.
The high scoring part doesn't count as a bold prediction, but these do.
Lob City vs. Miami Dunk Machine
Speaking of no defense, there are going to be a ton of dunks in this game, and a good portion of those dunks are going to be of the alley-oop variety. Like this:
Or like this:
And the great thing about those two highlight packages is that the main players are in the starting lineup for this game.
They will have plenty of opportunities to showcase their dynamic high-flying skills, and once one side gets a crowd-pleasing, rim-rattler than the other side is going to want to better them. This is going to make for a spectacular show.
West Wins a Close One
This is going to be a back and forth contest. Buckets will be falling like heavy rain, and it won't be decided until the closing moments.
Ultimately, it will be the West's superior three-point shooting that leads them to victory because when both sides are getting buckets at will, it is better to get the ones that are worth more.
With the likes of Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash on the roster, this team can shoot from distance.
Kevin Durant Will Win MVP
The Durantula is going to be the main person hoisting up and making those threes for the West. KD has had a spectacular season, and he is ready to back that up in the All-Star game.
His teammates will be happy to get him the ball, and the opposition won't be able to stop him, even if they were trying.
