Blake Griffin Video: Watch Los Angeles Clippers Star Drop F-Bomb on Foul Call
In today's crazy sports television world, where there is a microphone covering every inch of the playing surface, it is a surprise that we don't hear more outbursts like the one Blake Griffin had on Wednesday night.
Late in the second quarter of Wednesday's Nuggets-Clippers game, Andre Miller lobbed a pass that Corey Brewer was about to throw down. Griffin came charging up the court, jumped and swatted the ball away.
Griffin was called for a foul and proceeded to show his frustration by letting out a hearty F-bomb that the microphones clearly picked up.
When I was a kid, it used to be a big deal to hear someone say that on television. I would specifically tune in to some games just to get a whiff of that sweet vulgar goodness.
Granted, I am older and use that language myself, but considering some of the stuff that you hear and see on television shows nowadays, a few choice words at a sporting event is the least of our worries.
It turns out that the foul was not that big of a deal anyway. The Clippers went on to win the game 103-95, and Griffin had 27 points and 12 rebounds.
Considering how well things have been going for the "other" Los Angeles team this season, one little foul shouldn't have gotten Griffin so riled up.
Though you could say that it is a refreshing change of pace to hear a player for the Clippers getting so upset about what he believes to be a bad foul call instead of another losing season or blowout loss.
It is starting to feel like we are in an alternate universe. The Clippers are in first place, and the Lakers are trying to figure out how to solve all their problems on and off the court.
