Ranking the NBA's Most Animated and Charismatic Teams

The NBA is not only filled with the most talent that it has seen at any other time in its existence, but there is a certain flare that comes along with being very good.

Animation and charisma comes with the territory when dealing with the best athletes in the world.

As teams though, some have a little more of that swagger than others do.

Here's a chance to look at those teams as we rank the NBA's most animated and charismatic teams.

It was hard to keep the Celtics off the list since they do still have Kevin Garnett, who's still one of the most animated players in the NBA, but Denver cracks the top 10 instead.

George Karl is one of the more animated coaches in the NBA and his team carries a certain charisma about them.

They are exciting as a group and lead the NBA in scoring at 103.8 PPG.

They may not have star power, but led by point guard Ty Lawson, the Nuggets are a very charismatic team who plays a very exciting brand of basketball.

9. Sacramento Kings

Remember we aren't talking about the NBA's best team, we are talking about the most animated and charismatic teams and the young Kings fit the bill.

DeMarcus Cousins is probably too animated of a player at this point of his career, but add in youngsters Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton and Jimmer Fredette and you get what we are looking for here.

Fredette, while a quiet guy that isn't very animated, has some charisma about him. Even as a rookie he attracts a certain amount of attention.

8. Orlando Magic

Speaking of animation and charisma, Orlando's Dwight Howard personifies that.

His personality alone makes him one of the more charismatic players in the NBA and during the game he's as animated as anyone.

Throw in the likes of Glen Davis, Jason Richardson and Hedo Turkoglu, and the Magic definitely belong pretty high on this list.

7. Los Angeles Lakers

There's a ton of charisma surrounding the Lakers. When you throw Kobe Bryant, Metta World Peace, Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol together, you are going to get that.

They play with emotion and aren't afraid of letting that out, no matter good or bad.

After all these years you are still drawn into Bryant. His charisma is off the charts.

6. Chicago Bulls

As far as animation, I give you Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau. They don't make them anymore animated than him.

Judging simply by Thibodeau on the sidelines, it's always hard to tell if his team is winning or losing.

From a charisma standpoint, the Bulls have the reigning MVP Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and others.

Chicago may be a team that's committed to defense and those teams usually aren't very exciting, but they certainly have some of the NBA's best young personalities.

5. Minnesota Timberwolves

If it's charisma you want, look no further than Ricky Rubio and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He, along with All-Star Kevin Love, not only are in the process of making the Wolves relevant again, but they have turned this team into a very fun one to watch.

The Timberwolves may have some work to do and may not make the playoffs in 2012, but they are without a doubt one of the more charismatic young teams in the NBA.

4. Oklahoma City Thunder

Oklahoma City has all the charisma in the world.

Just look at a roster that features Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka and James Harden.

Outstanding young personalities who fans are simply drawn to. They're good, too, which helps.

They aren't the type of team that will let you know they are better than you, but they are young and have fun as a team, which makes them very easy to root for.

3. New York Knicks

How can Jeremy Lin and the Knicks not be high on this list?

The play of the charismatic Lin has created a worldwide buzz surrounding this team.

Add in personalities such as Amar'e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and J.R. Smith, who are among the more animated players in the NBA, and you have everything you are looking for from an animated and charismatic point of view.

2. Los Angeles Clippers

Chris Paul's charismatic personality added to Blake Griffin is enough to make the Clippers high on this list.

Mix all that up and become Lob City and the Clippers have become one of the top charismatic attractions in the NBA.

Throw in DeAndre Jordan's high-flying ability and you can understand the public attraction to this team.

1. Miami Heat

Like them or hate them, there is no team in the NBA that has more charisma than the Miami Heat.

The personalities alone of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade give you that.

They are the most animated duo in the league as well. They like to have fun and have no problem letting you know how good they really are.

It's not being cocky, it just comes with the territory.

Their charisma comes out every game and they are the NBA's biggest attraction, partially due to hate.

When you have the NBA nation glued to your every move hoping you fail, you definitely belong at the top of this list.
