Carmelo Anthony Will Not Play Friday, Jeremy Lin Has the Stage to Himself Again

Michael NargiJun 6, 2018

All the speculation and skepticism of Jeremy Lin and Carmelo Anthony playing together will be put on hold one more game.

According to Al Iannazzone of New York Newsday, Anthony has been ruled out for the game against the New Orleans Hornets and might make his return Sunday afternoon against the Dallas Mavericks.

The topic of debate in the NBA has been if it is possible for Anthony to co-exist with Lin on the New York Knicks

The Knicks will need their whole arsenal on Sunday against the Mavericks, so if Anthony is at full strength when he comes back, it will only improve the Knicks.

Anthony was at his best when he had a point guard to get him the ball. The opportunity will still be there for Lin to put up great numbers and there is no reason Anthony will not able to fit in when he returns.

He no longer has to get the ball and shoot like we saw so much of earlier in the year. The opportunities will come for Anthony.

At this point the Knicks are a fully functioning team and once Anthony and Lin can build some chemistry, they will become a dangerous team.

While everyone wonders what will happen when Anthony returns, lets not forget why Lin is on the court.

Anthony was the one who voiced that Lin should be the starter.
