Shaq Endorses Jeremy Lin for Rising Stars Challenge
With the February 24th Rising Stars Challenge rapidly approaching and Jeremy Lin's hype going through the roof, it only make sense that TNT finds a way to work Lin into the game.
Lin's game-winning three against the Raptors has only made Linsanity grow stronger, and he would be the star attraction in the Rising Stars Challenge.
According to USA Today, Shaq said,
"This is one of those great Rocky-style stories. It's not like if he gets in that game that anybody would be upset.
"
The Big Diesel is right. The NBA is missing out on a golden opportunity here, and sneaking him in the game wouldn't ruffle any feathers.
Lin is the sort of attraction that can get fans who wouldn't usually tune into this sort of exhibition game to watch it. He's made the Knicks must-see TV and would undoubtedly do the same for this game.
The game is all about entertainment, and including Lin would increase star power in the game exponentially. Fans are chomping at the bit to catch Lin in action, and this gives the network a golden opportunity to give the people what they want.
Lin continues to win over his critics, and his heroics have to be on display at the Rising Stars Challenge. To not get Lin in this game would be robbing everyone of immersing themselves in the Linsanity.
