Will Ferrell: Hilarity Will Ensue at Bulls vs. Hornets Game
I think we can all agree that the state of New Orleans Hornets basketball was already fairly humorous. Will Ferrell will make sure that it is full-on hilarious on Wednesday night.
The Chicago Bulls will head to New Orleans to take on the Hornets. According to ESPN, comedian Will Ferrell will introduce the two teams.
Laughs, guffaws and chuckles will adorn a time that is usually meant for fans to get back to their seats after a pre-game beer purchase.
For once, the player introductions will be a must-see event. If you want a taste of what is to come, you can watch the video below taken from the movie Semi-Pro.
Please note: There is some language that is not safe for work.
We are all lucky in two regards. First, that Ferrell was in town to make what should be a Hornets spanking at the hands of the Bulls all the more interesting. Secondly, it's the reason that he is in New Orleans.
According to the ESPN report, Ferrell is in town to film a movie that sounds right up my alley of entertainment.
He joins Zach Galifiankas, and the two will play South Carolina politicians with presidential aspirations running against each other for a seat in Congress. Over-acting and shouting may ensue.
That leaves us with tonight's call, which I am sure will be a tad shorter than the one accompanying the Flint, Michigan Tropics call that Ferrell does in his movie.
The Hornets could use a chuckle or two after the season they are having. They started by having a trade melodrama ensue when David Stern nixed a preseason deal. Then, they lost Eric Gordon for an extended period of time.
Which brings us to tonight's game that features a four-win Hornets team taking on the 21-win Bulls. Ferrell may have to resist the urge to make this a Hornets roast.
For once, I am far more interested in the intros than I am the actual game.
