WWE Rumors: Undertaker, Triple H, SmackDown Spoilers and Wednesday's WWE News

Adam WellsJun 1, 2018

While the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is getting the short stick in the promotion right now because WrestleMania comes right after it, there are a lot of stories building for the show that add intrigue.

The biggest story on that show will be, who comes out of the Raw Chamber match as WWE champion? Jericho and Punk are the only choices, so it is up to Vince McMahon to decide what will get the most heat.

While Mr. McMahon and his crack creative team flesh out that show, we want to give you the latest happenings from backstage. It is a crazy time for the company, and the news comes flooding out.

THE UNDERTAKER RETURNING TO CRASH HBK'S PARTY

Just when you get all excited to hear about the return of Shawn Michaels, we learn that the Undertaker is going to show up on next week's Raw to ruin everything.

Question on Everybody's Mind: When will HBK ever get his own spotlight?

Our Take: Someone needs to start a petition for WWE to just do a two-hour tribute to Shawn Michaels. (Okay, maybe that is just me talking.) In all seriousness, those two, along with Triple H, had one of the best Raw segments of 2011. Hopefully, lightning can strike twice.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Tombstones

There are so many ways that this whole thing can play out, you could go nuts trying to figure it out. We know it ends with Triple H accepting a WrestleMania match, but what convinces him to do so?

TRIPLE H WANTS TO BURY THE MIZ, PROBABLY

Yesterday, we talked about how Miz was being punished for the low Survivor Series buy rate. Now, thanks to his inability to catch R-Truth on Raw, he is getting a lot more heat from Triple H.

Question on Everybody's Mind: How much worse could things get for him?

Our Take: Never underestimate Triple H's ability to bury someone. He could have Miz enter the Elimination Chamber match first, then get him beat by CM Punk in 30 seconds.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Ways to Ruin Your Career

When you look at where Miz is right now, it is astounding to think that he was someone the company had planned on building around last year. His fate as a nothing star had been sealed long ago, but it could get worse before it gets better.

JOHN LAURINAITIS STILL GETS TO SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF US

The super-secret announcement regarding Johnny Ace's future was not left in doubt for long on Tuesday. It was revealed on WWE.com that Mr. Excitement will keep his job as the interim general manager of Raw.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Why?

Our Take: WWE has no one else to take the job right now. Triple H all but said that even though he can take the job back whenever he wants, he has no desire to do so right now. Beyond him, everyone else is busy or not in line for the gig.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Surfer Dudes

While it would have been interesting to see a new general manager named, it is hard to find fault with Laurinaitis keeping his job. He still sucks, but he has found a way to make his sucking kind of funny.

ANOTHER LAME FINISH RUINS MAIN EVENT

There are times when fluke finishes are good, and times when they serve no purpose other than to prevent one person from beating the other because the company doesn't want either to lose. That is what happened during the Daniel Bryan-Randy Orton match. Big Show threw Bryan into the ring, Orton hits the RKO, but is disqualified since Show touched Bryan.

Question on Everybody's Mind: What does that build to?

Our Take: Nothing. If Bryan goes over, he looks even stronger because he just beat the top guy on SmackDown. If Orton goes over, it makes you think he can do it at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Now, no one is over and everyone is exactly where they were beforehand.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Matches With No Meaning

While the finish to the match sounds no good, it is hard to imagine everything that comes before it being anything less than good. Orton has been doing some of his best in-ring work over the last few months, and Bryan is one of the best in the business.
