WWE: 9 Wrestlers Who Could Use a Makeover Right Now
Sometimes, all it takes is a change in character to strike riches in the WWE. These riches may not be in the form of a title, but a better spot in the pecking order or a better chance at making it to the upper tier of a PPV event.
And these wrestlers, who have tasted success in their time with the company, could still use some tweaking along the way to have a better chance at glory.
It is possible a makeover is what is standing in the way of them and greater success and yes, possibly gold.
But for now, let's see a change in character and then we can go from there.
9. Mark Henry
1 of 9Now that the World's Strongest Man is injured again, maybe this is a chance to remake his image.
He is caught in the middle (or was) of this triangle for the World Title with Big Show and Daniel Bryan. And this again, is another way of creative dropping the ball with Henry's character.
When Henry won the World Title, he was arguably the best heel in the business since JBL. Now, he is truly an afterthought or throw in for consideration.
Right now, even without his injury, his character is going nowhere.
8. Natalya
2 of 9Flatulence is funny if you are in grade school. But seriously, what in the world is the WWE doing to this star?
Natalya has great skills and great ability in the ring and a great pedigree. For some reason or another, the creative team is missing the boat on this one.
She should be challenging for the Divas title, not standing behind the champion.
7. Drew McIntyre
3 of 9If the story is true on examiner.com, it is about time.
McIntyre is the most underused character in the WWE right now (sorry Ted DiBiase) and his look and ability could spell success, finally.
Whatever the idea (please, no Fabio senarios) it should have him looking like a champion, maybe challenging the likes of Cody Rhodes.
His character needs a jump start like a '57 Chevy.
6. Eve Torres
4 of 9What happens now that Zack Ryder is not wrestling? Does Torres command the same kind of love from the WWE Universe?
She was a star before she got involved in the goofy love-interest story. Now she needs to concentrate on the Divas Title.
She also needs acting lessons and a personality. But those things cannot be helped.
Eve can carry the divas' division with better angles and stories, but also with more excitement.
5. Christian
5 of 9Here is someone hoping that when Christian comes back from injury, one of two things happen.
He comes back as a face and challenges Cody Rhodes or Daniel Bryan. Or, he comes back as a heel like he is now and forms a stable with Chris Jericho and maybe Drew McIntyre.
Either way, the Peeps love him and his talent and skills are missed in the ring and on the mic right now.
4. Tyson Kidd
6 of 9Here is a case of a guy who has worlds of talent and, like Natalya, is not being used in the manner he needs to be.
Didn't creative watch the WWF in the 1980s and 1990s and know how successful the Hart Foundation was?
Kidd could be the charter member of the cruiserweight division and could usher in a whole new concept of smaller champions.
The WWE should see this and act on it.
3. Jack Swagger
7 of 9While others have written about what an underrated talent he is, honestly, I am one who just does not like the character.
He looks too thick, too robotic and way too monotone. Maybe it is the singlet.
Whatever it is, I can agree he is talented and should now use the US Title to challenge those with "higher" gold.
The WWE needs to have its second tier title holders challenge for the company's top spots.
2. Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel
8 of 9I thought at one time, Slater and his tag team partner Justin Gabriel would both be the next big things in the WWE.
I was wrong.
Since leaving the Nexus (when they disbanded) Slater and, to some extent, Gabriel have been nothing more than jobbers.
Change their look and make them stars again, maybe as tag team specialists challenging for the gold.
To Gabriel's credit, he has looked good in his matches with Cody Rhodes, so maybe there is a chance he will be used more readily in singles matches but, right now, I don't see Slater going anywhere.
1. The Miz
9 of 9Maybe the most wasted talent right now in WWE. He is clearly one of the best wrestlers in the business and I agree with some when I see a "face" change in his future as he helps usher in the next decade.
Miz is being blamed for poor buy rates with Survivor Series, and therefore has been knocked down a few pegs in the pecking order.
This does not take away from his overall talents. He needs another run at greatness and a new character look would help.
