Super Bowl Prop Bets: Giants Props Worth Picking on Super Sunday

Tim DanielsJun 7, 2018

When the New York Giants and New England Patriots face off in the Super Bowl, people around the world will be watching for a plethora of different reasons. One of them is prop picks, which have skyrocketed in popularity over the past couple of years.

There are plenty of different options for both teams, but here are three Giants-related picks that should be as good as gold. All lines are courtesy of Bovada.lv.

Eli Manning Fourth-Quarter TD Pass: Yes (-135)

Everybody remembers Manning's late heroics from the last time these two teams played in the Super Bowl. This game is expected to be similarly close, which means both quarterbacks will be throwing the ball a lot in the second half.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see both teams score multiple touchdowns in the fourth quarter since the pass-rushers on both teams will be worn down by that point. That will give Manning more time to operate in the pocket against a weak Patriots secondary.

While the TD pass might not turn out to be as memorable as his one to Plaxico Burress four years ago, he will throw at least one in the fourth quarter.

Brandon Jacobs' Longest Rush: Under 10.5 yards (-130)

Between the more than 40 passes Manning is likely to attempt and Ahmad Bradshaw serving as the team's primary back, Jacobs isn't even guaranteed to get more than a handful of carries on Sunday. That's a major strike against him in terms of this prop.

He's also not known for his big-play ability. Jacobs' job is to attack the defensive line with reckless abandon to open up some holes in the second half for Bradshaw. The Patriots will be prepared for his straight-ahead mentality whenever he comes onto the field.

His longest carry in the first game was 11 yards (thus the prop), but that was on 18 carries. He won't get that many on Sunday barring injury. That makes the under a smart pick here.

Antrel Rolle Tackles: Over six (-120)

Even though both defenses have made strides toward respectability since the regular season ended, both units still have a lot of holes. That means there will be a lot of completions to go around on Sunday, and therefore plenty of tackling opportunities for Rolle.

He's improved greatly over the past couple seasons as a safety after a slow start to his career. He'll be expected to provide a lot of help on Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, and it's no secret that Tom Brady loves to target his tight ends.

It all adds up to a big tackle total for Rolle on Super Bowl Sunday. It wouldn't even be outlandish to expect him to reach double digits, making this prop a safe selection.
