Cuba Gooding Jr. Video: Watch Rod Tidwell's Awesome Impressions on Sportscenter

The author of one of the greatest sports cinematic lines in history, dialed up a few more jewels today on Sportscenter. Cuba Gooding, Jr., the actor that won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Rod Tidwell, the flamboyant, fictional WR for the Arizona Cardinals in the movie Jerry Maguire, was a guest of Linda Cohn's.

After he hyped his new movie, Red Tails about the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, he was given the opportunity to reenact several of sports most famous rants...Oscar-style.

Gooding, Jr did not disappoint. First he took on Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy's "I'm a Man" rant, southern drawl included.

Next he was pitched Terrell Owens' tearful "That's my quarterback bit". Gooding got into full character here as well, producing the Hollywood shades for effect.

Football wasn't the only sport on display, Allen Iverson's infamous "practice" rant was hit. No matter how much I see that, I still get embarrassed. Gooding didn't have the gray Boston Redsox cap, or the doo-rag, so a hoodie would have to suffice.

Finally, ESPN's own Herm Edwards was the object of impersonation. "Hello, you play, to win the game" got Gooding out of his seat.

It was a hilarious display, that everyone watching and apparently everyone in studio got a kick out of.

I had forgotten how funny Gooding could be, especially since the majority of his most recent films had gone the straight to DVD variety.

However, I for one, will be checking out Red Tails, and hopefully he gave as good a performance in the movie, as he did on Sportscenter.
