5 Beastly NBA Rookies Poised to Have Star Careers
Sometimes you can never tell about NBA rookies.
Often it takes a few years to see what you truly have in a player, but a certain few rookies have stepped up already to show that they are going to have great NBA careers.
Usually those are your can't-miss guys.
Only a few guys in each draft class turn out to be stars.
Here's a look at a few from this year.
Ricky Rubio
1 of 5Rubio is a magician with the basketball in his hands.
He's a human highlight reel passing the ball, and if his scoring keeps coming along, he's certain to be an NBA star for years to come.
Kyrie Irving
2 of 5Irving looks more worthy of being the No. 1 overall pick every game.
He has a solid command of the Cleveland offense and takes very good care of the basketball.
He's also a natural scorer with a decent jump shot and the ability to drive the basketball with either hand.
Irving has a very solid future ahead of him.
Iman Shumpert
3 of 5Some guys just have the look of an NBA player, and Shumpert fits that bill.
While he may never be an All-Star, he has the ability to be a very good NBA guard.
Shumpert has a good offensive game already and has also made an impact on the defensive end.
When he's on the floor, good things tend to happen.
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni couldn't keep him on the bench for long, and the Knicks have put together a winning streak with him in the starting lineup.
Markieff Morris
4 of 5Morris has a promising career ahead of him.
He's a versatile power forward with strong rebounding skills and the ability to step outside and knock down the mid-range jumper.
The former Kansas Jayhawk is off to a very good start in Phoenix, and Suns coach Alvin Gentry won't be able to keep him out of the starting lineup for long.
Morris has a solid NBA career in front of him.
Marshon Brooks
5 of 5Everyone loves guys who can flat-out score, and Brooks may be the best pure scorer among the rookie class.
He comes to New Jersey from Providence with a reputation of a guy that can fill it up.
Brooks has been the lone bright spot on a bad New Jersey team and will make a living in the NBA as a guy that can score the basketball.
