Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love Are More Exciting Than Chris Paul and Blake Griffin
The NBA's Western Conference has a pair of new good young point guard-big man combinations.
First, there is the Minnesota Timberwolves combination of Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love. Then, of course, there is the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
Both combinations are a highlight reel of excitement on a nightly basis and will be for some time to come.
Who's the more exciting duo, though?
You can't go wrong with either, but here's a vote for Rubio and Love.
This dynamic duo holds the future to the Timberwolves' success, and while Paul is the better point guard, Rubio could be the more exciting of the two.
The young Rubio is a pure passing artist, and Love is a pure finisher.
Of course, so is the combination of Paul and Griffin.
They were the talk of the NBA after the Paul trade, but Rubio may have upstaged the four-time All-Star with his flash and brilliance.
Rubio has made the Timberwolves must-see television in the matter of a few weeks.
Griffin had already established the clippers as a fun team to watch last year. The addition of Paul just makes them a whole lot better.
Rubio knows no other way except to be exciting. He's a pure pass-first point guard that you don't see that much in the NBA anymore. He's like that quarterback that's always looking for the big play down the field. When the ball is in his hands, he's going to make something good happen.
So while Paul and Griffin offer up nothing but excitement as a duo, they may have been upstaged by the new Rubio and Love combination.
Don't blink, because something exciting may happen.
