Suns' Kevin Durant Explains His Social Media Use: If You Troll, I'll Troll Back
Kevin Durant has a rather straightforward approach when it comes to social media.
He's going to match the energy of those he is interacting with, even if that means trolling.
"The whole point of having social media is to interact with people," he said during a conversation with Jalen Rose and Anthony Edwards (22:20 mark). "So you follow me for a chance to maybe interact, so it depends on how I feel. If you troll, I'm going to troll back. If you show love, I'm going to show love back. I try to reciprocate energy as much as possible to give people more of an in-depth experience of who I am."

Future Hall of Famer or not, this is the guy who once said "No relax when I'm on Twitter. I'm on 10 until the second I close the app."
People should not be surprised when Durant is willing to go back-and-forth with almost anyone on social media regarding a variety of topics, including basketball. GQ even deemed him the GOAT of Twitter in 2021, and he continues to engage with fans and haters alike in a way that stands out from his NBA peers.
Those choosing to troll the Phoenix Suns star only have so much material to choose from. After all, Durant's on-court success includes two championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, a league MVP, four scoring titles, 11 All-NBA selections and four gold medals.
That list of accomplishments would give anyone confidence, and he certainly has enough of it to troll people on social media.
