Any skepticism about the effectiveness of the TB12 Method can be put to rest now that we have definitive proof Tom Brady is faster now than he was 24 years ago.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion recently ran the 40-yard dash in 5.18 seconds at the age of 46, improving on his time from the 2000 NFL Scouting Combine by one-tenth of a second.

There was some dispute among the people who timed Brady's recent run. TMZ noted one person had his time at 5.18 seconds, while a second person had it at 5.12 seconds.

Regardless of which one is accurate, there's no denying that Brady has once again found a way to defy all normal logic regarding an athlete's body. He just enjoyed his first year of retirement after a historic 23-season run in the NFL, yet still kept himself in good enough shape to run an impressive 40 time considering his age.

By the standard of modern NFL quarterbacks, Brady is still well below average in terms of sprint speed. Tyson Bagent was the slowest quarterback who ran at the 2023 NFL combine with a time of 4.79 seconds.

Brady's time of 5.18 seconds was identical to Michigan offensive lineman Ryan Hayes. The two-time All-Big Ten second-team tackle was a seventh-round pick by the Miami Dolphins.

While Brady is unlikely to start entering any sprinting competitions, his increased speed is a testament to how much work he put into making sure his body remains in peak condition. He maintained a very strict health and fitness routine during his playing career.

Based on the results of his 40-yard dash at the age of 46, it doesn't seem like Brady has veered away from that diet and fitness routine very much after retiring from the NFL in February 2023.
