The 3-Point Contest is part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night, and it will be held Feb. 17 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Lillard, 33, is one of the best shooters of his era, averaging 3.1 three-pointers made per game over the course of his career. His 2,526 career three-pointers made are fifth on the NBA's all-time list as well.
Dame is in the midst of his first season in Milwaukee after spending his first 11 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. He is averaging 24.9 points and 3.0 three-pointers made per game this season, while shooting 34.7 percent from beyond the arc.
If Lillard wins the 3-Point Contest, he will become the first back-to-back winner in the competition since Jason Kapono in 2007 and 2008.
Despite being a 7-footer, Towns is the only other former winner in the field, as he was victorious in the 2022 3-Point Contest.
Towns is enjoying his best season as a three-point shooter in 2023-24, as he is making a career-high 43.7 percent of his three-point attempts.
Like Lillard and Towns; Brunson, Haliburton, Mitchell and Young will all be part of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game as well.
Of the eight players in this year's 3-Point Contest, Beasley has been the best long-range shooter this season, as he is fifth in the NBA with a three-point shooting percentage of 45.0 percent.
Meanwhile, Young has made the most three-pointers this season of anyone participating in the event, as his 156 trifectas are tied for the third most in the league.
Haliburton, who is averaging a career-high 3.2 three-pointers made per game and is shooting 39.7 percent from deep, will be the sentimental favorite in his home arena.
If Haliburton wins, he will be the first player to ever win the 3-Point Contest in their home venue since the competition's inception in 1986.
