What's At Stake?
The Nuggets (4-2) are looking to continue their solid stretch of play through a brutal schedule by picking up another win at home.
They have yet to lose in the Pepsi Center and managed to win their games on Sunday and Monday night there despite falling to the Lakers on the road Saturday.
Sacramento (2-4) will try to spoil their opponent’s fortunes and turn their season around with a solid victory after some turmoil involving DeMarcus Cousins and a possible trade request.
What They're Saying
The Associated Press reported that Danilo Gallinari fed off a rocking home crowd to help lead his team to a late victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night.
"In the fourth quarter it's very easy to find extra energy," Gallinari said of feeding off the crowd. "You have a tight game, you want to win, especially at home."
Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee found that Tyreke Evans is not happy with his team's shooting and knows they won’t win if they continue to play so poor.
"We won't win too many games," Evans said. "This team needs us [Marcus Thornton] to score the ball. We've just got be aggressive and make shots."
Kings Player to Watch: DeMarcus Cousins
Cousins is saying he didn’t demand a trade but was benched for the Memphis game and struggled once again on the floor.
He was able to pull down rebounds at his standard rate but is having trouble finding his scoring touch.
See if he can turn it around, especially if Nene is out.
Nuggets Player to Watch: Ty Lawson
Lawson is having a great season and is averaging over 18 points, five assists and three rebounds.
His play is a huge reason for the success of the Nuggets, and they will be just fine if he keeps it up.
Key Matchup: Low post play
Denver is going to struggle in the post if Cousins gets going and Nene is unavailable to stop him.
They’ll need to figure out a way to fluster the sophomore center and keep him off his game.
Prediction
Nuggets 114, Kings 105
