NBA Celebrity All-Star Game 2023 Rosters, Start Time, TV Info and More
Alex Toussaint may be a Peloton instructor, but the 30-year-old has proved he can hold his own on a basketball court as well. Remember what happened at last year's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game?
At that star-studded event, Toussaint scored 18 points to lead his team (which was captained by basketball legend Bill Walton) to a 65-51 win during NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, being named the game's MVP. Now, Toussaint is looking to have similar success this year.
Toussaint is among the 22 people participating in the 2023 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, which is set to take place in Salt Lake City on Friday, the opening night of NBA All-Star Weekend. He'll be playing for a team captained by former NBA star Dwyane Wade against a squad led by Utah Jazz governor Ryan Smith.
Here's everything else you need to know about this year's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Toussaint is the only former NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP participating in this year's event. And he's fresh off a strong performance in the contest in 2022, so he knows what it takes to put on a show at All-Star Weekend.
But that doesn't mean Toussaint is guaranteed to do it again this year. There are some talented athletes on the 2023 rosters, and there's always the potential for a surprise performance by somebody who may not immediately stand out at first glance.
However, Toussaint has a strong chance to be one of the game's top players. He's already been in the gym in recent weeks honing his basketball skills, as he recently shared on his Instagram.
Both Team Ryan and Team Wade will have other impressive athletes, though.
Each squad has a current WNBA player, with Dallas Wings teammates Diamond DeShields (Team Ryan) and Arike Ogunbowale (Team Wade) facing off. There will also be a battle of wide receivers, with former NFL standout Calvin Johnson (Team Ryan) playing against the Seattle Seahawks' DK Metcalf (Team Wade).
There are also some participants with past NBA All-Star Celebrity Game experience. Singer Kane Brown (Team Ryan) and comedian Hasan Minhaj (Team Wade) are both playing in the event for the third time, while actor Ranveer Singh (Team Wade) is taking part for the second time.
The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is bringing some changes this year, though. As team captains, Ryan Smith and Dwyane Wade will each have the ability to activate "Ruffles Crunch Time." That will give their respective teams a two-minute period in which point values will be doubled. So it will be important to utilize that at the right time when the best players are on the court.
"Unlock a Legend" is also returning to the event, so teams could add an NBA legend to their roster at some point during the game. It will be exciting to see who could suit up and get into the action on Friday night.
Of course, this event is all about having fun and getting the lighthearted NBA All-Star Weekend off to an entertaining start.
