The jersey LeBron James wore when he won his second career NBA championship in 2013 sold for huge money this week.

According to Darren Rovell of Action Network, Sotheby's auction house announced Friday that James' Miami Heat jersey from Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals sold for $3.68 million at auction:

The James-led Heat took down the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals, giving LeBron his second consecutive title after he and the Heat took down the Oklahoma City Thunder the previous year.

With averages of 25.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game, James was named NBA Finals MVP in 2013 for the second consecutive season.

He was especially dominant in Miami's 95-88 Game 7 victory, racking up a game-high 37 points to go along with 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The 2013 NBA Finals were among the best in recent memory, as the Heat had to win both Game 6 and Game 7 to stave off elimination and secure back-to-back championships.

Game 6 is unquestionably one of the most memorable NBA Finals games of all time, as Heat guard Ray Allen knocked down a three-pointer with five seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime, and Miami stayed alive with an OT win.

After failing to win an NBA title during his first seven NBA seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron famously decided to take his talents to South Beach by teaming up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami.

The decision paid dividends, as James reached the NBA Finals in each of his four seasons with the Heat, winning two of them.

James' final act with the Heat would be an NBA Finals loss to the Spurs in 2014, making the jersey he wore for his second and final championship win in Miami in 2013 even more valuable.

LeBron has gone on to win a championship in Cleveland and one with the Los Angeles Lakers since then, giving him four titles and four NBA Finals MVP Awards in his illustrious career, each holding a special place in NBA history.
