Colt McCoy Injury: Updates on Browns QB's Week 17 Status and Fantasy Value
When the Cleveland Browns host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, they may once again be without quarterback Colt McCoy. When the Browns faced the Steelers on Thursday night a few weeks ago, McCoy was concussed by a James Harrison hit and he hasn't played since.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns head coach Pat Shurmur has been non-committal about McCoy potentially returning. It may be a risk the Browns aren't willing to take since Harrison probably wouldn't hesitate to knock McCoy silly again.
Check back here throughout the week for updates on McCoy's status for Week 17.

Colt McCoy will not throw another pass in 2011.
Per Pro Football Talk, the Browns have ruled McCoy out for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Seneca Wallace will once again start in his place.
This news isn't all that surprising. McCoy has been trying to come back from a concussion ever since taking a nasty blow from James Harrison in early December, and the Browns weren't about to take any chances with him after dropping the ball with McCoy's injury when it first happened.
If you're a McCoy fantasy owner, you never should have been counting on him in the first place. If you start him in Week 17, it suffices to say you don't know what the heck you're doing.
UPDATE: Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 10:10 a.m. EST
It looks as if Colt McCoy's status for Sunday's game will depend largely on his ability to practice on Wednesday and later in the week. Mark Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer says that if McCoy can get on the practice field, head coach Pat Shurmur thinks there is hope for him to play.
Either way the Browns' chances against the Steelers aren't great, especially since Pittsburgh will be battling tooth and nail to beat out the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North title.
In terms of fantasy value, if your team has made it this far then I doubt you've used Colt McCoy. You should continue that trend in Week 17.
