AFC Playoff Picture: Tennessee Titans and Contenders That'll Make a Splash

As wild as the NFC has been this season, the AFC has the chance to steal the show with what could be some of the oddest long shots in history.

Teams like the Titans and Broncos were all but eliminated earlier in the season and now sit on the cusp of backing into the playoffs.

If these teams get the right matchups and play well, they have all have the chance to upset some big-name teams.

Tennessee Titans

It would take some serious help to make the Tennessee Titans get into the playoffs, but crazier things have happened.

With the team playing better than it has at almost any point in the season last week, the Titans could be a tough team to beat. They say those with nothing to lose are the most dangerous.

If Tennessee somehow got Chris Johnson going under the bright playoff lights, they would become a serious contender in the AFC.

Cincinnati Bengals

With rookies Andy Dalton and A.J. Green having as much success in the regular season, there is nothing that says they can have more success on the biggest of stages.

They don’t realize they aren’t supposed to be this good, so the addition of a stellar defense and a run game that can be very effective and you have a team that can cause some trouble in the playoffs.

If the Bengals can beat the Baltimore Ravens to ensure a playoff berth, they would not only make the dance, they would prove they can beat the big dogs to get there.

Denver Broncos

If the Denver Broncos can maintain and make the playoffs, they could be dangerous if they play smart like they did earlier this season.

The key will be the defense and how well they play against their opponent. If they can keep the score within seven going into the fourth quarter, there may be no player in the NFL besides Ben Roethlisberger I'd rather have more than Tim Tebow right now.

If Tebow can limit his turnovers and control the ball instead of trying to save everything, the Broncos will be a dangerous bunch.
