2012 NFL Mock Draft: Examining the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes After Week 16
Thanks to Dan Orlovsky channeling his inner Peyton Manning over the last two weeks, the Indianapolis Colts aren't a lock to get the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft, and potentially Andrew Luck.
The sweepstakes for the top pick is certainly a bit more intriguing now, but heading into the season finale, it's actually pretty simple for the two teams still in contention for the selection.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If the Rams lose to the San Francisco 49ers at home in Week 17, they'll need the Colts to beat the Jaguars in Jacksonville to obtain the No. 1 pick.
Losing to the defensively stout 49ers is certainly a possibility for a team as offensively deficient as St. Louis, and with the way the Colts have played in their last two outings, they could easily beat a struggling Jaguars club that has trouble scoring points, too.
What a dramatic turn of events that would be.
Would the Rams trade the pick? Trade Sam Bradford and take Luck?
Indianapolis Colts
Obviously, if the Colts lose, that's it—the pick is theirs.
If they win and the Rams (somehow) beat the 49ers, Indianapolis "wins" the tiebreaker and will make the first pick in late April.
With the Minnesota Vikings' victory in Week 16, they eliminated themselves from the No. 1 pick sweepstakes.
The Colts still are the most likely team to have the first selection, but what they do with one of the most sought after top picks in recent memory is an another, long discussion.
